Sales Representative (Field Based - Permanent)

Keen Dist. are a skate hardware and apparel distributor, working with some of the leading brands in the skateboard industry. We’re growing – and looking for a hard-working, dedicated individual with great interpersonal skills to join our sales team.
Job Overview
As a field-based Sales Rep, you will be the face of Keen, responsible for building and maintaining relationships with retailers, while driving sales growth with your designated accounts. This role requires a motivated and dynamic individual who can effectively communicate our brands and products, identify customer needs, and provide solutions that enhance customer experience and support our drive to be the ‘go to’ distributor.
Key Responsibilities
- Retailer/Buyer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective retailers/buyers through regular visits and follow-ups.
- Day to day support: Helping our sales and back-end support teams to work seamlessly together.
- Showroom/Appointments: Put together seasonal showrooms and organise accounts to attend and view future seasons product.
- Sales Strategy: Create and implement a territory sales plan that aligns with our goals and targets.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on brand offerings and industry trends.
- Lead Generation: Identify new opportunities through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Negotiation: Effectively negotiate pricing to close deals and create re-orders by identifying sell through rates.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, store/buyer interactions, and sales forecasts in CRM software.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in sales & marketing to provide feedback from the market.
Capability
- Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in skate, streetwear, or fashion. Retail experience is also a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-Motivated: Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to assess accounts' needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Outlook).
- Demonstrate initiative: Be prepared to get stuck in with minimal supervision.
- Have an organised approach to work: Be effective in managing multiple accounts.
Travel/Time:
Frequent (weekly) travel within designated territory/account list; Full UK driving license required. Flexible hours, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
